Janice SheetsSidney John Kelly Sidney John Kelly slipped out of this world on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. He was born on April 15, 1924 and married for 60 years to Mary Lou Kelly, who preceded him in death. They lived in New York for many years and had four daughters, Mary (Paul) Tisdale, Patricia (James) Thomas, Eileen (Terry) Baesmann, and Katherine Kelly, all of Central Ohio. Numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren also survive him. A resident of Columbus Colony Elderly Care for the past two years, Mr. Kelly will be sadly missed by the attentive staff. He was retired for many years from Franklin University where he became Dean of the Engineering College when he moved the family to Ohio. He was a recent resident of Johnstown and previously of Waverly. He was an avid reader and considered himself a person of authority especially when confronted with an “authorized personnel only” sign. We believe he is looking forward to joining Mary in Heaven. Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 20, at 11:00 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Westerville, followed by luncheon. Family will meet friends on hour before the service. Donations may be made in his name to Franklin University, Attn: Kevin Greenwood, 201 South Grant Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43215. www.boyerfuneral.com
