She was born 1 August 1928 in Millard, KY, daughter of the late Ottto Lankford and Alpha (Robinson) Lankford. Surviving are two sisters. Ethel Smith and Marie Lankford of Waverly, OH, three brothers, David Lankford and wife Julia of Knoxville, TN, Jack Lankford of San Francisco, CA and Walker Lankford and wife Rosemary of New Castle, PA and several nieces and nephews. June was a member of Waverly First Baptist Church and was a retired Corporation Secretary for Advanced Mechanical Engineering in Chicago, IL. Her parents and a brother Robert Lankford preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday 11 May 2013 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly, OH with Pastor Greg Schaffer, officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road, Waverly, OH. He was born March 23, 1959 in Washington Court House, Ohio, the son of Juanita Irene Williams May of Piketon, and the late Raymond May. On March 1, 1985 Richard was united in marriage to Tammy Sue Hawk May who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Victoria Dawn (May) Bauer and husband Andrew David of Waverly, three brothers, Ronald Lyn May and fiancé’ Valerie of Waverly, Kevin Don May and wife Shelva of Piketon, Ohio, Keith Allen May, Sr. and wife Judy of Waverly; a sister, Lisa Beth (May) Ford and husband Scott of Waverly, one half-brother: Brian Lee May and wife Tonya of Waverly, a half-sister, Kathy Renea Potts and husband Randy of Washington Court House, Ohio, two stepbrothers, Russell Edgar Justice, Jr. and wife Linda of Greenfield, Ohio, Tony Eugene Justice of Washington Court House and a stepsister, Rebecca Lynn Justice of Beaver, Ohio, sister-in-law, Debra Jo Montgomery and husband Manford Douglas, brother-in-law, Jeffrey Allen Hawk, as well as many nieces and nephews. Richard Ray dearly loved his aunt Viola Jane (May) Burge and Uncle, Ralph Elmer Burge, They were like a second set of parents, who help raise him and his siblings. They would take them to church, taught them about the Lord, and their home was always open even after they married, and would always help in any way they could. They were truly a gift from God. In addition to his father, his stepmother, Faye (Paul) Justice May, stepsister, Penny Jean Justice, grandparents, Elza May, Sr., Mable E. Jenkins May, Clarence Williams and Corda M. Mustard Williams, step grandmother, Mildred Williams, step grandparents, Henry and Marie Paul, father-in-law, Robert Eugene Hawk, mother-in-law, Thelma Jean Russell Hawk and sister-in-law, Teresa Lynn Hawk preceded Richard in death. He was a member of Bond’s Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a former employee of Midland Acres, Inc. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday May 11, 2013 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, with Pastor Jeff May officiating. Burial will follow in Givens Chapel Cemetery, Waverly. She was born April 17, 1932 in Waverly, OH Wonderful mother of 8 kids she is survived by Turman & (Debbie) Helton of Beaver, Celia & (Dick) Shell of Waverly, Cindy & (Doug) Davis of Beaver, Kenny & (Debbie) Helton of Piketon, Georgie & (Carl) Barnett of Beaver, Rob & (Sharon) Helton of Piketon Ruth Helton & Louie Gillenwater of Beaver, Marilyn & (John) Williams of Waverly. She is also survived by one brother, William E. Stephens of Chillicothe, one sister, Phylis Downard of Jackson, one sister-in-law, Lillie Montgomery and brother-in-law, Alfred Helton. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Will be missed by special friends, Rebecca Hall and Albert and Phylis Schreck. She was also preceded in death by husbands, George “Man” Helton and Jacob P. Bandy. one grandson, Bradley Wayne Barker and one great grandson Isaac Lee Helton. She was a long time member of Straight Creek Enterprise Church. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. He was born July 17, 1930 in Piketon, son of the late Jesse Ellsworth Skinner and Mary Catherine (Hudson) Skinner. On January 11, 1956, Jesse was united in marriage to Amanda Bernice (Snively) Skinner, who survives Also surviving are three daughters, Linda L. Anderson and husband Ronald of Waverly, Deborah S. Lambert of Piketon and Dee Ann Skinner, Waverly, three grandsons, Ronald Anderson, Jr., Greg Anderson and Josh Lambert, three great grandsons, Koty, Kaleb and Davis, a brother, Edward “Tiny Skinner of Piketon, and three sisters, Marguerite MacKnight of Newark, OH, Betty Skinner of Waverly and Wanda Rogers and husband Carl of Lawrenceville, Georgia. In addition to his parents, four brothers, Charlie, Robert, William and Don Skinner and three sisters, Ruthie Skinner, Rudie Parks and Dolly Hopkins, as well as a son-in-law, Gary Lambert preceded him in death. Jesse was a retired maintenance employee for Martin Marietta Corporation, Piketon, a graduate of Piketon High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was born July 12, 1948 at Omega, Ohio, son of the late Glenn Donald Fultz and Evelyn Leota Bland Fultz. On October 11, 1997, Don was united in marriage to Judith Elaine Carpenter Fultz, who survives. Also surviving are five children, Glenn “Rick” Fultz and wife Leslie of South Bloomingville, Ohio, Rachael Mercier and husband Chris of New Port Richey, Florida, Amy Good and husband Steve of Pickerington, Ohio, Jason Good and wife Kari of McArthur, Ohio, Kelli Brown of Chillicothe, ten grandchildren, Hayley, Sydney and Kaitlyn Fultz, Jermey and Eric Mercier, Luther Michael Good, Andrew Kruszynski, Kalli Good and Kellam Vonville, two great grandchildren, Makayla Mercier and Kayden Good, and three sisters, Sharon Echard and husband Floyd of Waverly, Ohio, Glenda Dulaney and husband Dennis of Columbus, Ohio, and Bonnie Lawler and husband Jerome of Galloway, Ohio. In addition to his parents, a grandson Tucker Jay Good preceded Don in death. Don shared ownership of Best Glass and Mirror in Chillicothe with his son Rick. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam Era having served from 1967 to 1969 as an Army Medic and worked at RCA in Circleville, Ohio as a mechanic for 32 years. Don would want to express a special thanks to his best Buddies, Joe Dog Brown and Mike Hughes. Thanks to his family and friends for their prayers and thoughts during his time of need. He was born 5 January 1939 in San Juan, Batangas, Philippines the son of the late Jose Moraleja and Teofila (Armanento) Moraleja. On 29 February 1964 he was united in marriage to Corazon (Abrillo) Moraleja, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Estelito A. Moraleja and wife Annette of Frankfort, OH and Anthony A. Moraleja and wife Christy of Waverly and a daughter, Marie A. Moraleja Hoover and husband Robert Tracy Hoover of Portsmouth, OH, 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a sister Angela Moraleja Caraig of the Philippines. Dr. Moraleja was a member of St. Mary Queen of the Missions Catholic Church, Waverly and a retired physician, having served southern Ohio for the past 35 years. Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday 24 May 2013 at St. Mary Queen of the Missions Catholic Church with Father William Hahn, officiating. He was born April 29, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio son of the late Delmas Horn and Billy Lou Frazier Horn. On January 15, 1972, Larry was united in marriage to Shirley Diane Cordell Horn, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Beth Jones and husband Thomas of Grove City, Ohio, Luke Horn and wife Melissa of Lancaster, Ohio, 3 grandchildren, Torren, Tayden and Liam, two step grandchildren, Mariah and Trenton, and a brother, Mark Allen Horn and wife Diana of Chillicothe. In addition to his parents, a brother, Randy E. Horn preceded Larry in death. Larry attended the Chillicothe First Church of God and was a retired Iron Worker with Local #172 in Columbus. He was born 1 January 1924 in Elm Grove, OH the son of the late Charles Edward Williams and Mary Jane (Burke) Williams. On 15 July 1948 he was united in marriage to Margaret Ellen (Grooms) Williams, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Roger Wayne Williams and wife Glenda and Danny E. Williams and wife Karen both of Waverly, Timothy A. Williams and wife Pat and Michael K. Williams and wife Dee both of Piketon, daughter, Rebecca J. McDougal and husband Guy of TN, 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, son, Melvin Williams, grandson, Jeremy Scott Williams, granddaughter, Crystal McDougal, four brothers, Jack, Neil, Dick, and Robert Williams and sister, Opal Lansing. He was a member of the Elm Grove Church of Christ, a WW II Veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired Clerk for Kalfs Lumber Company and Klinker Lumber Company in Waverly. Irene (Everett) Easter, who survives. Also surviving are son Michael L. Easter and wife Carol of Wytheville, VA, four daughters, Marianne Sturgell and husband Dale of Chillicothe, OH, Barbara Westmoreland and husband Gary of Cottageville, WV, Connie Richards of Chillicothe, OH and Tina Castle of Waverly, OH, 10 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter, and one brother Leroy Easter and wife Nora of Friendship, OH. His parents, brother, Donald E. Easter and a grandson, Robb Bussa, preceded Robert in death. Frank E. SalyersShirley Ann Snell Shirley Ann Snell, 66, of Piketon, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, OH, following a brief illness. Born January 12, 1947 in Richmond, VA, Shirley was the daughter of Robert and Marion (Wilson) Roberts, and was the eldest of five children. She spent her childhood and early adult life in Richmond before moving to the Piketon area in 1979. Shirley was united in marriage to James A. Snell on July 12, 1969 in Chesterfield, VA. To this union was born a son, Joshua Alton, and a daughter, Sara Ann. For nearly 22 years she was actively involved with the Piketon Marching Band. Shirley volunteered many years as a teachers aide at Zahns Corner Elementary School. She was also involved with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts; and was a sister of the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority for more than 25 years. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Joshua A. Snell on April 7, 2002; sisters, Patricia Roberts, and Penny Roberts, who had made her home with Shirley and her family for 27 years. She is survived by her husband, James A. Snell, of Piketon; her daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Bobby Kirton, of Waverly; a granddaughter, Lindsey Paige Snell, of Beaver; a daughter-in-law, Samantha Snell, of Beaver; a brother, Alfred (Juanita) Roberts, of Chesterfield, VA; a sister, Blanche Roberts, of Glen Allen, VA; special friends, Harold and Vonnie Kunkle, of Piketon, and Ken and Cindy McGuire, of Piketon. Also surviving are three sons, Hal Salyers and wife Carol, Wayne Salyers and wife Debbie, Eddie Salyers and wife Pam all of Piketon, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a sister, Ruth Cooper of West Union, Ohio, and three brothers, Edgar Salyers and wife Lois of Billings Missouri, Samuel Salyers and wife Pauline of Dayton, Ohio and John Salyers and wife Mildred of Columbus, Ohio. In addition to his parents, two brothers, Ison and Tom Salyers, and a sister, Edith Salyers preceded Frank in death. Frank attended Mt. Olive Community Church on Camp Creek, was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, and a retired union carpenter and farmer. She was born 8 July 1939 in Waverly, OH the daughter of the late Curtis Leeth and Marcie Midrith (Strutt) Leeth. On 2 June 1956 she was united in marriage to Carl Mathews, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Harold V. “Joe” Mathews and Dwayne Mathews and wife Michelle both of Waverly, two daughters Tresa Ward and husband Brett of Waverly, and Loretta Walls and husband Bruce of Peebles, OH, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Leslie of Waverly. Greta was a homemaker and a loving grandmother. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, 2 June 2013 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly with Pastor Jeremy Davis, officiating. Surviving is his wife, Jacqueline Finigan, five children, Robert William Ford, Jr. and wife Dena of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania, Michelle Christine Brister of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, Sondra Lee Dunham and husband Edward Lee, Jerry James Ford and Ted Ford all of Piketon, four grandchildren, Amanda, Matt and Austin Brister, and Braiden Dunham, a half-brother, Jerry DeBiase of Piketon, three step brothers, Salvatore DeBiase of Piketon, Anthony DeBiase and Joseph DeBiase both of Las Vegas, Nevada and three step sisters, Sue Winship and husband Bill, Yalaunda Speranza and husband Donald and Lucille Romanella and husband Nicholas all of Long Island, New York. Thomas G. “Tommy” Perry Thomas Garrison “ Tommy” Perry, 79, formerly of State Route 772, Otway, Ohio died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at villa Springfield in Springfield, Ohio. He was born May 1, 1934 in Lucasville, Ohio, son of the late William Harve Perry, Sr. and Alleta Mae Jones Perry. On December 17, 1965, Tommy was united in marriage to Effie Viola Kirk Perry, who preceded him in death on December 21, 1999. Surviving are five sons, Phillip Perry and wife Penny, Jason Perry and wife Elaine of Rarden, Ohio, Virgil Delong of Sabina, Ohio, Joseph Delong and wife Wanda of Xenia, Ohio, James Delong and wife Elaine of Marshall, Texas, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, a sister, Geneva Taylor of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, a brother, William Harve Perry, Jr. and a sister, Edith Bazler preceded Tommy in death. Tommy was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a retired farmer.
