George Ratliff, Sr.
George Ratliff, Sr., 61, of Walnut Street, Morgantown, Ohio died 11:58 a.m. Sunday, January 6, 2013 at his home.
He was born April 25, 1951 in Phelps, Kentucky, son of the late Christopher Columbus Ratliff and Minnie Pearl Charles Ratliff.
Also surviving are eight children, Tinsy Krausz and husband Timothy of Ironton, Ohio, Hank Adams of Waverly, Ohio, Willis Blair and Linda Harvey of Waverly, Tish Pack and husband Dennis of Fort Gay, West Virginia, George Ratliff, Jr. and wife Shelina of Bainbridge, Ohio, Gracie Mabry of Piketon, Ohio, April Mabry and James Dollarhide of Columbus, Ohio, Roy Riffe of Columbus; 17 grandchildren, Anita Dills, Stephanie Wolford, Jerry Levering, Zachariah Wolford, Kakarot Blair, John Michael Adams, Jesse Ratliff, Austin Ratliff, George Ratliff, III, Garrett Ratliff, Dustin Dollarhide, Dana Krausz, Joseph Krausz, Garrett Ratliff, Timothy Workman, Michael Workman, Arieanna Mabry, Thomas Mabry, Jr., six great grandchildren, Bastion Dills, Hayden Dills, Clayton Wolford, Landon Levering, Chloe Levering, Xavier Levering, three brothers, Larry Ratliff, Jr. Ratliff, Bobby Joe Ratliff of Louisa, Kentucky, Tony Gullett of Bainbridge and a sister, Irene Starr of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, three wives, Garnet, Linda and Sue Ratliff, and a son, Thomas Mabry, preceded George in death.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Tony Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery, Waverly, Ohio.

Barbara Elaine Kritzwiser Orr, 73, of Bethel Road, Columbus, OH died 4:40 P.M. Friday 4 January 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH.
She was born 4 October 1939 in Waverly, OH, daughter of the late Merrill Eugene Kritzwiser and Mary Dorothea (Smith) Kritzwiser. Barbara was united in marriage to Lake Orr in 1974, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mitz Logan, Tina Donaldson and husband Andrew, and Tisha Dixon all of Columbus, Oh and Heather Orr of Pickerington, OH and one son Lake Sean Orr of Columbus, OH, eight grandchildren, Stephanie and Andrea Donaldson, Adrian Logan, Zeb Logan and wife Allison, Ryan Roberts and wife Crystal, Lake Tristan Orr, Desirae Orr, and Mikayla Norris, eight great grandchildren and a brother, Verlin N. Kritzwiser and wife Deanna of Waverly, OH.
Barbara was office manager for C & R Security Company of Columbus, OH and a 1957 graduate of Waverly High School.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday 8 January 2013 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly, OH with Pastor Todd Kritzwiser, officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road, Waverly, OH.

Lila Chambers
Lila Chambers, 88 of Largo, Florida was called by the Lord on January 10, 2013. She passed peacefully at Largo Medical Center with the comfort of her family by her side. She resided at the beautiful assisted living community of Arbor Terrace (formerly Barrington Terrace) in Largo where she loved her many friends and the superb caring staff. She spent many days enjoying the numerous activities and friendships. She called it her "little castle in Florida". She moved to the Largo area in 2003 from her home in Waverly, Ohio. Her life was devoted to her family as a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was a modest, humble person who wanted the best for others, and asked nothing for herself. Her many friends and family considered her to be a very special person. Her most recent "great time" was the marriage of her grandson Matt to Renee in September. She danced at the wedding and outlasted most of the family well into the evening hours. On this same evening she enjoyed the music of her Blues guitarist/singer grandson Sean who dedicated a special song to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Homer, youngest son Greg, parents Robert and Edith Ashworth, brother Donald Ashworth and sister Mary Stutler. She is survived by two loving sons, Robert (Ginny), Seminole FL; Larry (Paula), Springfield, OH; two grandsons, Matthew Chambers (Renee), St. Petersburg, FL and Sean Chambers, Ft. Myers, FL; her sister, Edna Osborne and nephew, David Osborne, both of St. Albans, WV; nephew, Donnie Ashworth, Cleveland, OH; and special person/loving family member, Virginia Massimo, Dunedin, FL. The family wishes to express their heart-felt gratitude to the professional, dedicated and loving staff at Arbor Terrace for their exceptional service and support of Lila.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, OH with Rev. Robert Wackerman officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery in Waverly.

Adalee Ellys Pettit, 0, died 2:51 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio.
She was born Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of Michael Pettit and Brittany Bryant, both of Piketon, Ohio.
Also surviving are two brothers, Lane Michael Pettit and Gunnar Paul Pettit, maternal grandparents, George and Eileen Bryant, paternal grandfather, Timothy Pettit, maternal great grandfather, Delmer Locke and wife Sandra, maternal great grandfather, Eldon DeWitt, paternal great grandparents, Jonathan and Rosemary Pettit.
She was preceded in death by her paternal great grandparents, Roger and Rose Marie Mullins, maternal great grandmother, Arwilda DeWitt, maternal grandmother, Kimberly Sue Pettit and sister, Briley Adelle Pettit.
Graveside services will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at Mound Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio with Chaplain Billy Morris, officiating.

Barbara Ann Spillman, 56, of Leeth Creek Road, Waverly, Ohio died 6:35 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Piketon Nursing Center, in Piketon, Ohio.
She was born June 14, 1956 in Washington Court House, Ohio, daughter of the late Ernest Estle and Ann Mae Hall Estle. On Feburary 28, 1989, Barbara was united in marriage to Alex Spillman who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Anna Tackett and Patricia Tackett both of Waverly, a daughter-in-law, Nicky Wroten of Galloway, Ohio, six grandchildren, Andrew Lewallen, Aaron Lewallen, Megan Tackett, Christopher Tackett, Rachel Tackett and Madison South, a sister, Virginia Meyers of Cedarville, Ohio, a brother, Tom Estle also of Cedarville, two brothers-in-law, Terry South of Batavia, Ohio and Jeffrey James of Manchester, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, a son, Christopher Lewallen, a sister, Betty Gaurbach and a brother, Ernest Estle preceded Barbara in death.
Barbara was a former cook at the Emmitt House in Waverly.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Boyer Funeral Home with Paul F. Hornback officiating. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery, Waverly.

She was born April 8, 1951 in Ross County, OH, daughter of the late Leslie Adkins and Venice (Rowland) Adkins. On September 17, 1967 Joann was united in marriage to Arnett Hiser, who survives.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, John and Chester Adkins, 3 sisters, Wilma Lee Adkins, Darlene Adkins Cox and Clara Jane Adkins.

Betty Lou Keaton
Betty Lou Keaton, 86, of Long Fork Road, Piketon, Ohio, died Monday February 4, 2013 at the Regency Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born December 2, 1926 in Ashville, Ohio, to the late Herbert Palm, Sr. and Lila Spangler Palm. On October 22, 1949, Betty was united in marriage to Daniel D. Keaton, Sr., who preceded her in death on February 5, 2004.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Keaton and wife Jo, Daniel Keaton, Jr. and wife Vicki and James Keaton and wife Sharlene all of Piketon, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three brothers, Terry Palm and wife Linda of Groveport, Ohio, Wesley Palm and wife Sharon of Gallipolis, Ohio and Herbert Palm on Wellston, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, three sisters, Frances Chapman, Lula Hymrod and Audrey Elkins, and a brother, Lowell Palm preceded Betty in death.
Betty was a homemaker who loved to crochet, garden and draw, and was member of Yankee Hill Community Church at Piketon.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday February 7, 2013 at the Howe Wheeler Boyer Hornback Funeral Home in Piketon with Pastor Albert Breech officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery at Bourneville, Ohio.
Friends may call at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday.
