Peggy Ann Carter, 59 of Blain Highway, Waverly, Ohio went to be with her Lord at 8:08 p.m. Saturday 28 December 2013 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born 7 February 1954 in Chillicothe the daughter of Fannie C. (Cook) Kreis of Chillicothe, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Christina Carter and Philip Beverly, II of Waverly, Ohio, grandchildren, Philip and Alysia, friend, Danny Brannan, Waverly, two brothers, Charles Rooker, Waverly, James Rooker and wife Tina, Chillicothe, two sisters, Ruth Startzel, Harker Heights, Texas, Angela Rooker, San Jose, California, two stepbrothers, Obie Rooker and wife Stella of Terrell, Texas and Chris Rooker, Waverly, three stepsisters, Brenda Rooker and Cindy Rooker of Waverly and Gwen Rooker of Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was a member Mt Tabor Community Church, an Accountant for Kenworth Corp, Chillicothe, a member of Good Times Quilters, Circleville, Ohio, and The American Quilters Society.
Her father, Stepfather, Edward F. Kreis, brother, Lawrence (Joe) Rooker, former husband Kenneth B. Carter and her grandparents, preceded Peggy in death.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, 1 January 2014 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME, Waverly, Ohio with Pastor Rick Hartley, officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly.
Friends may call at the funeral home 6 8 p.m. Tuesday 31 December 2013 and from 9:00 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday.
A special thanks to all the nurses at PCM and Heartland Hospice who cared for Peggy. She will be missed by all who knew her.
