Avanelle May, 76, of Sugar Run Road, Piketon, Ohio, died 2:35 p.m. Monday 28 October 2013 at Southern Ohio Medical Center, Hospice.
She was born 22 August 1937 in Waverly, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph Bertrum Emrich and Ruth Naomi (Wilson) Emrich. On 2 January 1963 she was united in marriage to Ralph E. May, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Daniel Sublett and wife Terri of Chillicothe, Ohio and Edward May and Sandra of Dayton, Ohio, four daughters, Kathy Hughes and husband Greg of Huntington, West Virginia, Karen Strayer of Kalida, Ohio, Brenda Brown and husband Bud of Riverside, California and Trina Spencer and husband John of Lucasville, Ohio, 14 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
Avanelle was a member of the Anchor of Hope Church of God, Waverly and was a retired L.P.N.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, 1 November 2013 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly with Pastor Donald Stewart, officiating.
Burial will follow in Gardner, Waverly, Ohio.
Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home one hour prior to the services on Friday.
