Garfield R. Cassady, 73 of Liberty Hill Road, Chillicothe, OH, died 10:12 P.M. Wednesday 27 March 2013 at his home, surrounded by his wife and children.
He was born 18 December 1939 in Inez, KY the son of the late William David Cassady and Judy (Goble) Cassady. He was married to Wanda Mae (Morgan) Cassady on 24 March 1979, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Timothy D. Cassady and wife Kristeen, Mechanicsburg, OH, David Cassady, Raleigh, NC, six daughters, Loretta K. Alley and husband Wayne, Lucasville, OH, Renee L. Howard and husband Jerry, Otway, OH, Tammy Perry and husband Brian, Springfield, OH, Kim Nott and Stu Kinnison, Fort Meyers, FL, Teri Tennant and husband Michael, Sebastian, FL, Kelli Styer and George Effing, Fort Meyers, FL, 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, a grandson, Keith Cassady, three brothers, Claude, Elvin, and Ralph Cassady and three sisters, Geneva Cassady, Barbara Trimble and Elsie Ratliff preceded Garfield in death.
Garfield was a retired foreman for Vinning Corp, Springfield, OH.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday 1 April 2013 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly with Chaplain Brad Harris, officiating. Graveside service will follow at 3:00 P.M. Monday in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, OH.
Friends may call at the funeral home 6 - 8 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until the service hour on Monday.
Friends and family will have a celebration of life at Tim and Kris Cassadys home following the graveside service in Mechanicsburg.
